1. Who We Are and Acceptance of These Terms

Bondis (the "Service") is a social discovery platform operated by Bondis Labs Ltd, a company registered in Cyprus with registration number HE 496345 ("we," "us," or "our").

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Service — including our website, our mobile application, and all related features. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Bondis. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will delete their account and personal data promptly.

3. Accounts and Authentication

To use most features of Bondis, you must create an account. Bondis is passwordless — you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, with a passkey, or with your Google account. We never store account passwords.

When you register, you agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself
Keep your account information up to date
Protect access to your account and notify us immediately at help@bondis.app if you suspect unauthorised use
Accept responsibility for activity that happens through your account, unless caused by our fault

One account per person. You may create and maintain only one active account. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited and may result in termination of all of them. Accounts are for individual use only.

4. The Service

Bondis helps people find compatible people and real-world contexts, such as events, groups, and housing. The Service includes discovery and matching features, profiles, messaging, and tools to create and join events, groups, and other listings. It may offer different discovery modes and features over time, and availability may vary by platform, region, and account tier.

Pre-release status. The Service is currently in a pre-release phase. Features may change, move, or disappear, and Supporter features are temporarily available to all users free of charge (see Section 10).

5. Your Content

Ownership. You retain all rights in the content you create and post on Bondis ("Your Content").

License to Bondis. By posting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, store, display, and distribute Your Content to the extent needed to operate and provide the Service. We do not use Your Content for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, subject to our data retention practices (see our Privacy Policy).

Public content. Some content is public by design — your profile and content you choose to share are visible to other users according to your visibility settings. Do not post information you are not comfortable sharing.

Removal. We may remove, hide, or refuse to display any content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably consider inappropriate, without prior notice.

6. Acceptable Use

Bondis is a community based on trust and respect. You agree to use the Service lawfully and to treat other users with respect. In particular, you must not:

Harass, bully, intimidate, stalk, threaten, or abuse other users, online or offline
Discriminate against or promote hatred towards others based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic
Post illegal, harmful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or sexually explicit content, including nudity or unsolicited sexual material
Post content that promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activity, or content that infringes the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of third parties
Create fake profiles, impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent who you are
Solicit financial information, passwords, government IDs, or other sensitive personal information from other users
Use the Service for spam, scams, fraud, or phishing, or to advertise or promote external services without our prior written consent
Use automated systems, bots, scripts, or scrapers to access, collect, or interact with the Service or its data
Circumvent security measures, access controls, or usage limits; reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to discover the source code of the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or its networks
Create fake or misleading listings or otherwise deceive other users

7. Location and Matching

Location is required for Bondis's core functionality. You provide it through your device or manually, and you can update it at any time in your profile settings. Your exact coordinates are never shown to other users.

You agree to provide a location that genuinely represents where you are or where you are seeking connections. Intentionally providing false location information to deceive other users violates these Terms.

Matching is based on information you provide, including your location, and may be powered in part by AI (see Section 11). Matching results are suggestions only — we do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or suitability of any match.

8. Interactions, Safety, and Offline Meetings

We do not conduct background checks. Bondis does not verify the identity, accuracy, or safety of its users. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, online and offline.

When meeting people you have connected with through Bondis, please exercise caution: meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, arrange your own transportation, and never share financial information or send money to people you meet.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any harm, injury, loss, or damage arising from your interactions with other users, including offline meetings. You assume all risks associated with meeting people through the Service.

Blocking. You can block other users at any time. We also encourage you to report behaviour that violates these Terms to help@bondis.app.

9. Reviews

Bondis allows users to rate and review other users and teams they have genuinely interacted with. Reviews must be honest, fact-based, and respectful. You must not post reviews designed to harass, retaliate against, or unfairly damage another user. We may remove reviews that violate these Terms and provide a flagging mechanism for abusive or inaccurate reviews.

10. Subscriptions and Payments

The Supporter tier. Bondis offers a free tier and an optional "Supporter" subscription that unlocks additional features. Prices and the features included in each tier are shown in the app and may be updated from time to time with notice.

Early access. During the pre-release period, Supporter features are available to all users free of charge. We may end this period, or change what is free, at any time with reasonable notice.

How payment works. On web, purchases are processed by Stripe. On mobile, purchases are processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.

Cancellation. You can cancel a subscription at any time: on web, through the billing section in your settings; on mobile, through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep Supporter access until then. Unless required otherwise by law, payments already made are not refunded on cancellation.

Refunds. Refunds are handled by the platform through which you paid (Apple, Google, or Stripe) in accordance with their applicable refund policies. We may also grant refunds in our discretion.

EU withdrawal right. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have the right to withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of purchase. This right is lost if you start using the paid subscription immediately and expressly consent to that and acknowledge that you lose the withdrawal right. To withdraw, contact help@bondis.app.

Price changes and taxes. We may change prices with reasonable notice before a renewal. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect. Prices may be subject to applicable taxes, which will be added where required by law.

Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are also subject to the terms of those stores.

11. AI and Automated Matching

Bondis uses third-party AI services to analyse information you provide and to transcribe voice input (see our Privacy Policy, Section 5). Our AI providers are contractually required to use zero data retention and are not permitted to train their models on your data.

Matching and compatibility scores are informational suggestions, not automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. We are not liable for the quality or accuracy of any AI-generated insight.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services, including Google (sign-in, map data, push notifications, and Google Play purchases), Apple (App Store distribution and purchases), Stripe (web payments), Cloudflare (hosting and security), Mapbox/MapLibre (location search and map rendering), and Zoho (transactional email). Your use of these services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

13. Intellectual Property

Bondis IP. The Service — including its software, design, logos, and branding — is owned by Bondis Labs Ltd or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks, branding, or content without our prior written permission.

Feedback. If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us the right to use them freely, without compensation, to improve the Service.

14. Termination

By you. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Account deletion is immediate and permanent. It removes your profile and personal data and deletes your content and messages in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Messages you sent in conversations are deleted along with your account.

By us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or our Privacy Policy, engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity, or if we reasonably believe your conduct threatens other users or the Service. Where we terminate for breach, you may not create a new account.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — such as ownership of Your Content, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — continue to apply after termination.

15. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that matches will be compatible, useful, or accurate, that user-provided information is verified, or that any particular outcome will result from your use of the Service. User-generated content reflects the views of its authors, not Bondis.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bondis Labs Ltd and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill; personal injury, emotional distress, or reputational harm arising from your use of the Service or your interactions with other users, including offline meetings; or damages resulting from unauthorised access to our systems or from third-party services.

Liability cap. Our total aggregate liability to you arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) €100 or (b) the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or wilful misconduct. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.

17. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bondis Labs Ltd and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms or applicable law, your violation of third-party rights, any claim that Your Content caused damage to a third party, or your interactions with other users.

18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Informal resolution. Before starting any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at help@bondis.app so we can try to resolve the dispute informally. We will work in good faith to resolve the issue within 30 days. This does not affect your right to seek remedies from courts or regulators at any time.

Governing law. These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of Cyprus, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence.

Jurisdiction. The courts of Cyprus have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service, except where mandatory law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post updated Terms on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. If a change is material, we will notify you in advance — for example by email or an in-app notice — and, where required by law, ask for your consent or give you a reasonable opportunity to review the changes before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

20. Copyright and Intellectual Property Notices

If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please send a notice to help@bondis.app with the subject line "IP Notice" and include: a description of the work at issue, the location of the allegedly infringing content, your contact details, and a statement made in good faith that the use is not authorised. We will review and, where appropriate, remove infringing content, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly infringe.

21. General Provisions

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bondis Labs Ltd regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision. A waiver is effective only if in writing and signed by an authorised representative of Bondis Labs Ltd.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms without restriction, provided the assignee remains bound by them.
